Plasmodium sporozoite injection

Sporozoites are ejected from the salivary canal of a living, salivating mosquito. 25 frames, 4 frames per second. The movie has artificial colours to highlight the sporozoites. Note the auto‐fluorescence of the fascicle. The red colour indicates saturation of the fluorescent signal.
